AUTOS

201 Nasser Al Attiyah / Mathieu Baumel (QAT / FRA)

“Yeah, today’s stage was really hard, and you know it is not easy because there are a lot of drops. But it’s okay as we did another good day, and I think we won the stage. I am quite happy with our performance and yeah, it has been a good day for us.

“I don’t know about the overall classification. But I do know that every point will help us for the championship. Our target you know is to win all the stages and just stay on the safe side because Sebastien [Loeb] is behind us and he is in a better position. In general, I think we did a good job and we will see if today we can be in the top-10.

“After four days, I am quite happy as we have finished Day 4 with a good performance. And except for Day One, it has been okay. This is motorsport. To win three stages and to open all day is a good point for me and for Mathieu. We are quite happy to just continue like this.

“Yes, absolutely it’s a dream to win here also as this is my favourite race and fully sandy and you know, we enjoy here a lot. It is not an easy race. But okay, I will come next year and win it again.”

202 Sebastien Loeb / Fabian Lurquin (FRA / FRA)

“It was very nice, no mistake and no problems. I tried to keep a good rhythm to finish the race without trouble and score some points for the championship. I also tried to keep a good rhythm to try to climb back a little bit on the classification. We did a good stage, no problem.

“What I learnt is that the dunes are really tricky. But, it’s a really good experience to drive here in the dunes as we do a lot of dunes here compared to the dunes we do in the rest of the rallies. This gives us a lot of experience of this kind of desert and that can be helpful for the future. At the moment, the feeling is good. The car is going well, so no problem.

“It was a good stage, a mix between dunes, difficult dunes and it was not so difficult I think, or maybe I have already got used to them. Overall, it was not a very difficult stage. It was a nice blend between dunes and fast sections. It was nice.”

208 Stephane Peterhansel / Edouard Boulanger (FRA / FRA)

“Today was not easy for us, but we did good work to get here in good shape. Tomorrow, we need to drive safe and be safe because we want to win the rally – so we will do our best.”

209 Martin Prokop / Viktor Chytka (CZE / CZE)

“Today, I tried to enjoy the stage and the dunes. That is why we are here and taking part in this fantastic rally. Tomorrow is the last stage, and it is always with mixed feelings. I always enjoy going into Abu Dhabi, but it is a long stage, and so it is not easy.”

302 Cristina Gutierrez / Francois Cazalet (SPA / FRA)

“The stage was very hard today. I tried to manage my time. I tried to take each day like a new day. I don’t know about what happened behind me. At the moment, I am happy because the car is still okay.”

203 Yazeed Al Rajhi / Dirk Von Zitzewitz (SAU / DEU)

“It was a really good pace today and we really enjoyed it – which is so important. We were unlucky yesterday, but moving forward, we will drive safely tomorrow and try to win the stage.”

301 Francisco Lopez Contardo / Paolo Cec (CHL / ITA)

“It is very important every day before the final stage. Today’s stage was very good. I think yesterday was not good. The important thing is to keep the concentration for tomorrow as it’s the final day.”

204 Jakub Przygonski / Timo Gottschalk (POL / DEU)

“It was a nice stage. Our car was good, so no issues there. There were some big dunes – one was 50m high, so going down the slope it was like skiing. Tomorrow, I hope will be fast because our car is better going fast.”
