201 Nasser Al Attiyah / Mathieu Baumel (QAT / FRA)
“Today is another day, yesterday was a little bit of a disappointment because of the first leg retirement. We lost the first round of the rally completely. Now, we will try and win every day to take maximum points like we did today.
“We did quite a good job and I am quite happy. We have to now work for the points. Today, we won five and I hope to win five points tomorrow as well.
“It’s a disappointment not to win Stage One because it is my favourite rally. But it is okay, it’s just a rally. We need to accept what happened yesterday. This is motorsport. Now, we must try to push the limit of the car, like we did it today.”
202 Sebastien Loeb / Fabian Lurquin (FRA / BEL)
“Today was really tough as it was a really difficult stage with really soft sand which made it very slow. In addition, there were a lot of difficult dunes. The car was fine and on the limit of the temperature on everything – but it was fine.”
203 Yazeed Al Rajhi / Dirk Von Zitzewitz (SAU / DEU)
“For me it was going really well and we enjoyed it. The car is going well and I had good navigation.”
209 Martin Prokop / Viktor Chytka (CZE / CZE)
“It was one of the longest stages after a few years, including Dakar. I think it was almost five hours. The stage was very slow and technical and really tough. I was surprised how difficult they made it this year. I am really happy with our position.”
